Candra Gunton puts on the perfect image. To the untrained eye, her life would seem as if it’s perfectly perfect. She’s a single mother who raises her daughter and works as a hair stylist. She’s got the smile to disarm you but behind your back it’s an entirely different story. Yet, digging deeper and getting closer to her inner circle, with her family and friends – you really start to see Candra for who she really is. A drug addict, thief and a liar that will take what she needs from anyone, even children – in an effort to get her next high
Candra recently stole money from her father, a considerable amount and she’s done so numerous times. We’re talking thousands of dollars over the years. She even went as far as to steal her own mother’s engagement ring. As if that isn’t bad enough, she stole phones and tablets from her younger niece and a brand new Nintendo 3DS from a 7 year old girl (who was a friend of the family).
A few years ago Candra also was faced with criminal allegations in Elyria Municipal Court. The complaints stemmed from multiple Thefts and Tampering with Records. The cases were eventually dismissed by Best Cuts (who was her employer at the time). However, her dismissal’s don’t reflect the true nature of her crimes , nor do they reflect that she was innocent of the charges. The situation that unfolded simply left Best Cuts hands tied and the evidence that would have been needed to pinpoint her at the time would have been almost impossible considering the length of which Candra went to conceal her illicit thefts.
COBRA Says: Individuals who have drug addictions need to seek out treatment. If you refuse to seek out treatment (especially if you are a single mother of a child) then you have nobody else to blame other than yourself. You cannot expect to support your high without causing harm and undue damage to those all around you. Living in a bubble only lasts for so long until that bubble pops. If you’re stealing from 7 year old’s, that’s an all time low. Time to get fucking help…
The Bottom Line
SCUMBAGGED Tip: Drug addiction isn’t something to joke about. It’s something to get serious about. If you wake up feeling sick, or if you have to do unthinkable and unspeakable things to support your high and if you’re sick and tired of being who you are, then it’s time to make a change. Refusing to do so, only further deepens the divide and compounds the negative consequences. Get help below.
