Ohio Mayor Appoints New Police Chief Amidst Fourth Amendment Violations & Widespread Corruption: Credible Concerns of a Cover-Up

0

ASHLAND, OH – Mayor Matt Miller’s rapid appointment of Detective Lieutenant Curt Dorsey to Chief of Police has raised concerns of a cover-up. This promotion follows an extensive report which outlined how Dorsey violated an Ashland resident’s Fourth Amendment rights by illegally hacking their phone with Cellebrite and falsifying an official document in the process.  Less than 72 hours after the story broke, the Mayor was already pushing a narrative – don’t look there, look over here. That timing is, to say the least, highly questionable.  Also transpiring shortly before the appointment, other stories exposed widespread corruption within the city of Ashland’s governing body, prompting a backlash characterized by retaliation and information scrubbing from some of the highest level’s of Ashland’s acting government officials.

Given the City of Ashland’s recent actions involving warrants, civil penalties, and the restriction of public social media accounts, it is unsurprising that officials have chosen to promote Curt Dorsey at this time.  This move appears to be an attempt to overshadow his negative online presence – just a mere 48 hours ago the first placed Google listing when searching Dorsey’s name was in regards to him hacking into a residents iPhone without a search warrant.  It raises serious questions about who actually orchestrated the illegal search and seizure. Specifically, which individual, if any, within the Law Director’s office authorized these actions—was it Chief Dorsey himself, David Hunter, Judge John L. Good or another representative of the Prosecutor’s office entirely?

As a resident of Ashland, what is your take on the sudden timing of Dorsey’s appointment? It feels strikingly odd, doesn’t it? While Dorsey’s long history of academic and professional accomplishments across multiple jurisdictions is indisputable, the timing of his naming is questionable. Given the recent wave of critical reports involving local court-appointed attorneys, the Law Director, judges, prosecutors, and detectives, the timing of this appointment is far from ideal, if not obvious…

THE BOTTOM LINE

There’s nothing to see here folks, nothing you won’t remember anyways…

SCUMBAGGED Tip:  This takes us back down memory lane, approximately two decades ago to be precise.  Does anyone remember when Officer Freeman (not yet Chief) of the North Ridgeville Police Department had an individual in a 4-pt restraint (placed there at their own request) as he watched and egged on his fellow officers to beat, punch and berate the man while he was completely defenseless?  Freeman and NRPD would then go on to delete the precinct video, charge the man with intimidation (F3) and Freeman would then go on to become the Chief of Police.  Fast forward decades later and the Chief’s wife would get caught stealing at numerous stores in the Lorain County area, a dozen of his officers would retire or defect due to his leadership and the city’s corruption would reign supreme.  Once again we have what appears to be yet another situation where at LEAST one constitutional right has been clearly violated which is swiftly followed up with a “sweeping under the rug” motion.  The F.B.I knows what happened back then (it took them a while – no offense), maybe they already do this time around.

AËTOS SAYS:  If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.   In this case, for the residents of Ashland, you’ve been bamboozled by slithering AI posts from your mayor and local tabloids in an effort to cover-up what is really happening behind the scenes.  Ashland apparently is becoming the new Minnesota?  Ever heard of a diversion tactic?  Because that’s exactly what this appointment is.
