LORAIN, OH – Christina Marie “Lilly” Cohoon, 44, of Lorain, passed away suddenly and unnecessarily on Monday August 19, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.  She was born May 23, 1980 in Elyria and was a life-long resident of Lorain County. Christina was a graduate of the EMT program at Lorain County Community College and she worked as an EMT at Jack Thistledown Racino in North Randall. She also formerly worked as an EMT for Physicians Ambulance and Life Care Ambulance and as a Phlebotomy Instructor at Med-Cert Training Center in Maple Heights. She was a mother of 3 and she should still be here today.  If not for her fiance, Sean Fischbach.

Christina’s primary caretaker was none other than her fiance, Sean Fischbach.  Fischbach, a licensed and trained paramedic who also would provide seminars and regular curricular classes and lessons to other would be medical professionals would take care of Christina’s wounds, dressings, medications and all aspects of her health regarding her foot infection.  As opposed to doing what he should have done – which was simply call 911 and take her to a nearby hospital, he did the exact opposite and aided her in what he has self admitted is an “assisted suicide”.  It should be noted that Christina was NOT terminally ill.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

Christina Cohoon & Sean Fischbach
  • Cohoon was just mere hours away from having heart surgery to repair an infected heart valve.
  • The infection would not have spread so severely had the appropriate attention been given to her.
  • Had her fiance not intentionally disregarded all infectious signs, her blatant pain and enabled her depression she would still be here today.

The couple and their children went on vacation to Tennessee, where Christina’s foot suddenly had gotten worse.  Upon their return back to Lorain Ohio, Sean had asked her if he should call 911.  To which she informed him that she wanted to go to a pre-planned vacation in St. Louis with Ryan Samson (Christina’s ex and the father of her oldest daughter).  Christina had stated that this was “her way of saying goodbye” to everyone and giving the kids one last vacation.  This has been uttered out of Fischbach’s own mouth as he has self admitted this to numerous people in the family including Cohoon’s mother, sister, brother in-law and other distant family members.

Fischback knew how perilous Cohoon’s condition was as well as the amount of pain that she was in.  Christina was unable to move at this point in time and he needed to carry her out of the vehicle into the home and virtually everywhere that they traveled. Instead, they then went to St. Louis for another couple day trip.  It was here where Fischbach was then informed by Ryan Samson that she needed to go to a hospital.  Fischbach refused…

As opposed to admitting her then and there, they decided to continue the vacation and then proceeded to drive all the way back to Ohio where Christina was then rushed to the hospital.  A period of nearly 5 days having elapsed inbetween.  Instead of her having a portion of her foot amputated, the length of time in which Fischback intentionally took caused for endocarditis to settle in through the blood, which then rapidly spread to Christina’s heart caused her to go into a fatal cardiac arrest.

The sudden loss of life caused ripple effects throughout the already torn and tattered family that had just lost a loved one earlier in the year.  Cohoon’s biological daughter was also removed from the primary family’s custody and is now residing out of state.  Her two adopted children still reside within the home in which she was raising them and Fischbach continues to live his life as if he nothing ever happened…

READERS NOTE:  Fischbach attempted to conceal his criminal behavior by deleting FB messages on Christina Cohoon’s account on 6/15/2025.  However those messages have already been logged.  Fischbach then went a step further and began erasing (ensuring) that previous video surveillance footage had been overwritten & deleted from the corresponding dates in August of 2024

COBRA SAYS:  This was not a terminal illness.  In fact, this was a case of depression – where this woman found herself so at wits end from a never ending infection that she had given up the fight to live on.  In which case, had she not been in a relationship, she would have received treatment as anyone else in her family would have immediately called paramedics.  However, due to the fact that her fiance had enabled her – she is no longer here today.  I don’t agree with this considering the circumstances, do you?

THE BOTTOM LINE

SCUMBAGGED TIP:  If you are ever faced in a similar situation, do the right thing.  This was not a case where someone or anyone had to pass away, where an entire family had to be destroyed and the ripple effects that followed that flowed throughout the rest of the family that loved her didn’t have to happen either.  Christina was simply depressed, her foot could have been partially amputated and she could have lived her life for many many many more years at the very least.
