GARETTSVILLE, OH – Evan Kelley, the owner of Nelson Ledges Quarry Park (NLQP) is a self-promoting hippie, alcoholic, womanizer and drug addict that uses and abuses his property for financial and sexual gain.  He promotes love, peace and states NLQP is heaven on earth when in fact, it is actually a gathering of drug fueled crimes for like minded individuals. Where this place goes completely off the rails is in the management – ran by those that directly influence and corrupt the park to it’s extreme. This is not a relaxing family friendly nature experience or a place for music lovers as advertised but instead, filled with people whom come here for the sole purpose to bang, do drugs, drink, and fight to their hearts content. There have been death’s, sexual assaults, robberies, murder & more at Nelson Ledges.  

Drugs and alcohol are highly encouraged – not just from the people coming in but the staff as well. Nearly each staff person is on some form of drug; cocaine, molly, ecstasy, heroin, you name it. Even the owners, Evan and his estranged wife Kristina are suffering from their addictions. Their rap sheets prove it as both have drug and alcohol related charges. This park is deceptive to the outside world, but you won’t realize until it’s too late and by then you’ll have already paid to get into the drug dealers den.  People and workers actually live there away from society in rotting campers that have been sitting for decades. From the owners, to the employees (especially security) and some vendors you will find that the majority are selling one form of a drug or another. This is why the Portage County Sheriffs Office and local police are constantly investigating NLQP during the busy seasons. They’re busting criminals and building cases left and right.

Security will rob campers of their possessions, drugs, alcohol, money or anything of value and then kick you out of the park – only to redistribute or use what they’ve confiscated. There was a lawsuit filed against security for attacking and beating an underage boy.  The drug induced crimes that are committed here in the back yard of Evan Kelley don’t end there either as he has Domestic Violence charges from attacking and beating his wife in 2011 and most recently he has two DV charges from attacking and beating the shit out of his daughter. He was convicted and has to undergo anger management classes, drug and alcohol assessment and probation for two years as a result of the aforementioned. He also has has numerous OVI’s, possession, and even trafficking in drugs charges.

Evan Kelley has created a divide within his own community while publicly shaming and harassing other venues. These other venues who actually promote safe, peaceful and loving gatherings – which is the complete opposite of NLQP.  There have been drownings that have occurred in recent years and the numbers continue to rise of the drugs that his park allows or brings in themselves (directly or indirectly).  People are getting obliterated, jumping in the water & drowning because of minimal – if not any lifeguards on duty. Kids as young as 17 and 18 years old DEAD because the park can’t control its own environment. There was a mom found dead, face down in the mud and her autopsy revealed several drugs in her system. Another man was found dead, thought to be an overdose but was ruled a fucking homicide and the killer is still on the loose. Cause of death-strangulation!

This park and it’s owner have clear blood on their hands and it’s all by intent.  Evan and the staff at NLQP gaslight and manipulate anyone who has anything bad to say about the Ledges. Evan also manipulates, uses and controls every woman he’s appeared to have ‘dated’.  He’s lusted after and would fall in love with the women that frequent his business in a sick & twisted drug and alcohol state of delusion trying to fill the void and heartache after his wife left him – escaping his abuse and getting pregnant by her drug dealer. Using his position of power at NLQP he dated and had sexual relations with multiple women under the guise of being a stand up, wholesome and wealthy man. In reality, he’s just a corrupt business owner that profits off of death, despair and debauchery.

The owner clearly is a womanizer that exhibits predatory behavior and uses his position to influence women for sexual purposes. He’s slept with multiple women, some 20, 30, even 40 years younger them him by providing drugs, money, and shelter to these women.   Evan is well known by staff and customers to walk around intoxicated and completely naked around families camping and even in front of children at his park. Nudity is against the rules and Evan will call the police for anyone who is nude, except of course on himself.  He’s even posted a video of himself in underwear reading a children’s book.  This is clearly a very corrupted man.  Clearly, Nelson Ledges is not a safe camping park for families (or anyone), then again how could it be?  Especially when the very owner’s life is unmanageable, completely filled with drugs, alcohol and violence.

THE BOTTOM LINE

SCUMBAGGED Tip:  How is this park still open and operating in the manner in which it is after the od’s, violence from staff, hard drug use, sexual assaults’, deaths and homicide? Because a lot of people aren’t aware of what’s really happening behind the scenes.  Maybe now that this article has ran, things will change and lives can be saved.  Honestly, Nelson Ledges has gotten away with this for a long time. Maybe a higher level of concern will change things for the better?

AËTOS SAYS:  If you’re from Ohio you’ve almost most certainly heard of Nelson’s Ledges and what it is synonymous with.  Those out of state, family goers, perhaps not so much (if at all).  In any case, the death toll is rising as are the constant criminal complaints.  Something needs to be done and this article will guarantee two things.  More people coming who want to get fucked up and more people coming who want to stop it.
