ELYRIA, OHIO – In 2009 I was raped by Elijah Varhola. We were childhood friends and I was 18 at the time when he did what he did to me. It happened at his house which was off of Chestnut Ridge Rd., in Elyria. He held me down and forced himself into me, first using his fingers and then laying on top of me with all of his body weight while I screamed and cried for help. He didn’t care, he still doesn’t care.
I told his wife Mary about what he did, she knows what happened and she doesn’t care either, I told all of my friends at the time what happened as well. Even Elijah would call me and say that he was sorry, leaving me numerous voicemails. I never went to the police because I wasn’t sure what to do and nobody believed me anyways. I think everyone should be made aware that he is a rapist. The trauma that he caused me lasted my entire life and affected many of my personal relationships along the way. He’s a sick person.
